After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union brought aviation experts, data and equipment back from Germany to develop their own fighter jets. The F-86 jet fighter, nicknamed "Sabre," was a jet fighter developed by the United States. It was the first generation jet fighter in service with the U.S. Air Force, capable of air-to-air combat, air interception and bombing missions. It was also the world's first fighter equipped with air-to-air missiles and the first U.S. fighter with an ejection seat.
FMS, with extensive experience in developing remote-controlled model jet fighters, has put considerable effort into accurately replicating the legendary and classic F-86 "Sabre" to the standards of "perfect appearance, outstanding performance". The model is packed with realistic details, including operable landing gear doors, retractable CNC-machined landing gear, movable air brakes, wing navigation lights (red on the left, green on the right), nozzle navigation lights (one red, one white), and landing lights (white). Model-level static details on the exterior have also been carefully handled, including fuel tanks, cockpit interior (molded plastic parts), and antennas. It is worth noting that the cockpit interior and air brakes have both undergone an aging process, providing a bridge to the past.
Eight 13g all-metal digital servos control the ailerons, flaps, rudder and elevator, accurately input commands executive to simulate the maneuverability of a fighter aircraft. This makes maneuvers such as tilt, roll, yaw and reverse easily achievable. Three 9g semi-metallic servos control the air brakes, which can increase drag and reduce aircraft speed. They also control the operation of the front landing gear door. In conjunction with the sequencer, they simulate the delayed opening and closing of the front landing gear door so that it synchronizes with the movement of the landing gear during deployment or retraction, ensuring safety and smoothness.
The PNP configuration includes a 12-blade 80mm ducted fan, a powerful 3665-KV2000 brushless inrunner motor and a 100A ESC (with a 5A switching BEC). These are designed to be used with a commonly available 6S 4000-5500mAh LiPo battery (purchased separately). This high-quality power and control system provides excellent performance, extended flight times and realistic turbine-like engine sound for an immersive flying experience.
In addition, key parts of the "Sabre" model, such as the fuselage, wings and tail, are reinforced with multiple embedded reinforcement tubes and reinforcement plates, ensuring structural strength during extreme flight maneuvers. The two-piece fuselage design reduces package size by 30 percent, allowing for easy transport and storage. The model is available in two classic designs, "THE HUFF" and "SKYBLAZERS," easily recognizable in clear skies or cloudy conditions.
